Strathmore

Located just outside North Bethesda’s Capital Beltway, Strathmore shines the spotlight on world-class talent, serving as a platform for talented local performers and artists. The 1,976-seat theater has played a significant role in Maryland’s performing arts scene, hosting top-tier acts such as the National Philharmonic Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to the theater, Strathmore also features other attractions throughout their sprawling campus such as the Strathmore Mansion and the Sculpture Gardens.

Bethesda Salt Cave

Inspired by traditional Himalayan salt caves, the Bethesda Salt Cave is designed as a venue for therapy sessions, where visitors can breathe in salt air which can alleviate sleeping problems, relieve issues caused by asthma or allergies, and enhance lung function and capacity.

Rejuvenation sessions at the Bethesda Salt Caves typically last for around 45 minutes and are open to the public. Private sessions are also available along with yoga and meditation classes, essential oils workshops, and more.

Cabin John Regional Park

One of Bethesda’s top outdoor destinations is the scenic and expansive Cabin John Regional Park, which features an array of amenities including a state-of-the-art tennis center, an ice skating rink, a Tai Chi court, the picturesque Locust Grove Nature Center, a dog park, a campground, and more.

The park is excellent if you’re looking to unwind, breathe in the fresh air, and reconnect with nature. It’s the perfect place if you want to spend quality time with the family, as it features spacious playgrounds and picnic areas equipped with snack bars, pavilions, tables, and grills. There’s also a network of hiking and biking trails winding throughout the entire area, which are excellent for challenging workouts or relaxing strolls.
